What is it?

What does it mean?

How has it changed my life?

Honestly thinking about grace makes me so emotional, the grace given by God is such a beautiful thing to me. Obviously, I know that I talk about God’s love and grace a lot but it is something that is hard for me to stay quiet about! Because of his grace, my life is what it is today and that is something I am so happy about.

“For it is by grace you have been saved through faith/ and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God/ not by works so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9

The reason this is so fresh in my mind is that today I went with my mother-in-law to see Bart Millard, from the band “Mery Me” new movie. “I can only Imagine.” If you haven’t heard of them they are a Christian band. Their song “I can only imagine” is the #1 most played Christian song! It was incredible, you guy’s. Make sure you bring Kleenex if you decide to go see the movie. Which, I deeply urge you to.

Bart Millard, the lead singer, and songwriter of the band wrote a book that eventually turned into this movie. He describes how he came up with the idea of this song  in the movie, Bart shared how much he had hated his father because of the way he was treated by him growing up. He thought his father was a monster. He always dreamed of having a better father. But, when he got older his father developed cancer and changed his attitude. Millard described his father as becoming much kinder and eventually picked up the Bible and began exploring his faith. His father had found God and become a kinder person and changed Millard’s perspective on his father. It is truly a beautiful thing to think about. I think a lot of people underestimate the power of God’s will and grace. This was something that really spoke to me. I hope you all can take some time and think about the beauty that God is surrounding you with.  I know, for a fact, that my journey would be much different if I had not received grace from above and devoted myself to the Lord.

I know that not everyone is interested in religion and faith but, I think it is something that everyone should at least explore. I truly believe it is an essential part on the way to happiness and I hope that this can inspire you to revisit your relationship with your faith.  I have talked to you before about opening your mind and learning some different perspectives so why not try deepening your faith in the Lord as a way of branching out?

Well, that’s all I have for today. I hope that you all have had a Monday full of blessings and joy. This week, I really want us to all work on staying thankful for the things around us and learning how to walk more in faith!
